Because medical detox requires medical monitoring to mitigate the effects of withdrawals and allow your body to safely heal from the effects of dependency, medical detox is the highest level of care we offer. Medical detox is monitored 24/7 by our team of licensed nurses and physicians to ensure the highest level of care and client safety. Round-the-clock supervision during detox is essential because it lessens the likelihood of relapse or medical complications. The process typically lasts five to seven days, and we will administer any necessary medications as well as address any medical issues our clients may have.
When a patient enters a residential treatment center they will first undergo physical and mental tests to determine their diagnoses and treatment protocols. If the problem is substance abuse, the initial phase of treatment is usually detoxification, in which patients clear their bodies of all traces of the chemicals they have been abusing. Physicians monitor their withdrawal processes and help ease physical symptoms with medications. Following detox, patients usually receive different forms of treatment, depending on their specific needs, including one-on-one counseling, group therapy, other forms of therapy (such as cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT), lectures and discussions, participation in a 12-step program and relapse prevention training.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
During the Partial Hospitalization Program, our clients will receive services for no less than six hours per day, five days per week. Therefore, the PHP is a step down from the medical detox program in the level of supervision and time away from home our clients experience. During our clients’ time in the PHP, they will receive a wide range of services, including weekly therapy sessions, group therapy, and daily programming while interacting with the community through recreational activities and therapies. The goal of this program is to allow our clients to have more time in the community and adjust to a lower level of supervision.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program is the least restrictive of the three levels of care we offer at Just Believe – Carbondale. This program is designed to be a transition program for our clients back to community life. The IOP focuses on helping our clients reintegrate successfully into the community. We work to transition our clients by developing discharge and aftercare plans and assisting them with vocational opportunities, both employment and volunteer. During the IOP, our clients will receive care for no less than three hours per day, three days per week.
